For a school project.

Spent around 30~45 min each just to develop a general shape language and

concept for different cultures that I'm trying to create.

Tuesday Figure Session #1

Vine Charcoal + Charcoal Pencil

I need to work on line drawing of figures more... 

I can't define shapes well without value or thick shapes.

Character - Space Gladiator

I had a lot of fun with playing around with different brushes.

I'm trying to get the brush strokes right the first time so I can

avoid over-rendering (which I think creates the typical digital painting feel).

I'm going to work on it a little more =)

Character studies

These are just studies.

I think I'm gonna go with the last one for my final composition =)

The story of this character is that he is a space gladiator.

His sister was kidnapped by an arena owner and he needs to fight

his way to save his sister. During this course he grows from a

young and innocent boy to an adult.



Environment study

This is a piece that I'm working on for school project.

We have to create a world based on a story for this project.

So far, I'm having lots of fun!
